The freiKartE! – All about us in English
The freiKartE is a welcome present at the start of Your academic studies in Hamburg, Germany. From us for You. First of all: A very warm welcome! What is it, that you can do with the so called freiKartE? From 1st Ocotober 2011 till 31st December 2011 You´ve got free entry to numerous museums and theatres in Hamburg. You can use it without any commitments (promise!) and as often as You like. No matter, whether You want to relax after an exhausting day at uni or want to start Your weekend with a night out at the theatre with a hand full of new friends. The freiKartE makes all of this possible for You. The next lecture is cancelled? No probs, with the freiKartE it´s worth to visit a museum for just an hour or two. You´ve got a date, but no idea where to go? Theatre, art design, painting, history, fashion, illustration, sculpture, photography, film, music and much more… Exclusively, from us for You.

The freiKartE Specials
3 month of free entry, nice thing to have! But it is more than a complimentary ticket to Hamburgs cultural offerings. It gives you a unique glimpse behind the scenes: Wanna go for some beers with the dramaturg of the Thalia Theater? Or what about a visit of the rehearsals in the Kammerspiele? Performance and Party at Kampnagel? Or what about a unique guided tour through the Deichtorhallen with the curator? No probs: During the 3 month period of the freiKartE, there a plenty of special events, off-the-record conversations, insider tips, partys and loads more. The freiKartE – at a glance

  • valid from 1.10.2011 to 31.12.2011
  • only valid with Your name on the card and in combination with Your student ID
  • to enter a museum: just show Your freiKarte and off You go!
  • to visit a theatre: here, the first come-first served principle applies, ´cause there is a limited seat capacity. Admission from 30 min before the start at the box office, while stocks last! Attention, premieres and special events are excluded.

You´ve got a friend´s request!
After visiting the theatre with a bunch of people off to the next bar? First to the museum, then skating with 200 other freiKartE-users on the rink at “Planten un Bloomen”? Or do You prefer a party at the theatre? On Facebook and the German sibling “StudiVZ” You will find up to date information and You can connect with new fellow students, maybe finding some buddies to go with to the next theatre show. Look for “meinefreikarte” on Facebook or StudiVZ and join us online!

From us for You: “us”, these are 5 students, who checked out the great diversity this city of ours with its cultural institutions has to offer. And it had passed the test! So in early 2010 an idea emerged for the freiKartE project. Together with the participating cultural institutions, partners and sponsors we could make this unique project happen and we hope You like what Hamburg has on offer. Enjoy the ride.
